Mr. Brett Favre played at Southern Miss.

An ugly win for the Gators.
Tenn played great defense and Kiffin played his cards right on offense most of the day, by keeping his QB in safe situations and play calling. I think Big Orange will be a force to reckon with in the next few years, AFTER they recruit a good QB.

How about The Feather Heads beat down of BYU....on the road?? Shocked

I have to give Tenn some do.  I had a nagging feeling that the game could have easily gone the other way if they had a better QB.  Berry must have clones, he was EVERYWHERE.  This game illustrates the Gators lack of strong receivers too!  I wonder the outcome, if this game was played outside of the Swamp.  Gators only passed a few times all game, AND WE COULDN"T HOLD ONTO THE BALL! We can bet our ass that alot of people took notes on this game!

Several Gators had a flu bug going and Deonte Thompson was nicked up too, but you made good commentary, Bud. All American LB Brandon spikes aggravated an Achilles tendon too.
Vols played VERY well, but when you consider Tebows goal line fumble and Brandon James TD drop in the end zone, it was pretty much the Gators game most of the second half at least.
3-0...is 3-0.

Well I actually did get to watch the game (USC) but I was getting updates from my dad via text messages. I was at the Rose Bowl tailgating before the UCLA game. Man it was he worst place to be after a USC loss, I was hoping they would lose to Kansas St.  so UCLA would shut up. What I gathered from the game was USC made mistakes and couldn't get into a rhthym. Washignton's crowd was going nuts and it looked to upset the Trojans. It seems like they have one of these games every year. Aaron corp did not ave a good game but I didn't like that when Corp was struggling at the beginning Carroll had Barkeley and Mustain warming up. It put a lot of pressure on Corp and I believe probably hurt his confidence further.

Interesting...I don't like the idea of putting heat on your starter like that either.  I'd say the fact that Washington has about half of Pete's coaches, now helped too.  USC seems like they 'need' to lose one to get their focus.  As long as everyone else loses it's ok....however, I think we might see 2 or 3 un-defeated teams this year Shocked

I just saw that Southern cal dropped to 12th in the polls.
That loss MAY have hurt their chances for a BCS Championship bid, but who knows....look at Florida last year after losing at home to The Sip. (shrug)

Penn State #5??......Laugh

Who goes undefeated this year, Tuck?

I would say a 2-3 of the following: Florida, Boise, Texas, Miami

Florida....maybe. They have to beat LSU at Baton Rouge. Last time the Gators played there in 07 they lost a close game.

Boise....Don't know. Watching them play on that ridiculous field gives me a headache.

Texas.....no way! No No
They have too tough a schedule this year.
They play OK, OK State on the road, and they must play a solid Missouri team on the road.

Miami....hmmm. They play a tough schedule to include OK.
Don't think they go all the way this year, but they have turned the corner and are coming on hard!

No love for the 'horns?  You may be right....Colt didn't look great from what I saw, but ya never know.  The order I had them listed goes from most likely to least likely.  I liked Utah, but they dropped a game.  The Bearcats haven't lost yet, but I don't know who they have left to play.

I'm with you on the Smurf turf...but there's no way that'll ever change.

Kirk, you know that you are in charge of west coast scouting and analysis....those games are televised past my bed time.  I did see where Best is doing pretty good, but we need "boots on the ground" on the west coast.

I saw a little clip of some of his plays today, he was really impressive.  You don't ever hear much about Cal, since 'that other school' plays in the same state.  I'd like to see a RB win  the Heisman....it's been a little while.

We should have a pretty good one tonite.  I'm looking forward to seeing Miss. QB Snead.  My Redskins are probably going to be needing a cube next year  No No

Miss. was either WAY over-rated, or they played like complete garbage.  Spurrier's team didn't play all that great, and they still won the game.
