The correct name of this bridge is the Pierceville Bridge.  You can google it.  I drove over this bridge a million times years ago.

In my reading about this bridge this morning, I wound up seeing one of those LIVE satellite maps of Earth showing this bridge.  Well, maybe not LIVE but it's recent...and movable with that little hand!!  Stare

So I moved the map up and up and over, etc. and 'went up the road' a few miles to our old farm!

How sad.  The people have destroyed half the woods with what looks like a gravel pit.  Hardwoods, oaks, maples, walnuts....birch, beech....

....and my loyal dog's old gravesite!

NEVER sell your old farm.....

Anyway, I moved away in 1970....and never wanted to go back...even though I did a few times....I can't even look at the old farm now.  It's just a part of history now.

Just call we always have a spare bedroom upstairs and if you keep the door closed you won't have to fight a dog or two for room in the sack.

Here is Slumber Valley Falls in a flood stage. This falls is on the property of a High School friend of mine whose family turned their dairy farm into a campground back in 1963.  We swam here at the falls during the summers.  They are higher than they look.

Here it is during low water....

A King-size picture.  Can't find a better one.  Those were the Good Old Days---the 1960s.  The campground is a big concern now.

Back in the early eighties my wife and I lived on a ranch in Wyoming---26 miles to town.  Our huge mailbox was mounted on the seat of one of those old horse-drawn mowing machines down by the end of the driveway.
