The 9.3x62 can come with some serious thump.

The 325 Gr Norma Oryx has an SD of .347, a 300 WM with a 220 gr bullet has SD of .331. If you want to sit something down from not too far away, I would take the 9.3 any day ;)

Scrummy

Well, it's just a Ruger Hawkeye from the internet....I remember when Ruger used to be less expensive than Winchesters and Remingtons....but they are not reasonable anymore....I guess a Hawkeye is like $900 now...

( I bought several decent used cars for less than $900 ) Confused

Does Ruger even make the 77 anymore?I thought they dropped it in favor of the Ruger American rifles.
I only have a 77/22 and I love it. It's a tack driven squirrel and golf ball killer.
I understand that the center fire Ruger 77 is not a true controlled feed like the Winchester Mod. 70, and Mauser 98 action. Am I wrong?

BF, I'd read something similar that is was some of them (Earlier Mk's?) not all of them... I don't know enough to enlighten more than that though I'm afraid
