My Dad got the 22 back in the 70's or early 80's from a store in Nashville Tn called Friedman's Army Navy. He had ordered another pistol, and had waited beyond his patience for it to arrive, finally paying the store a final visit to vent his frustration, only to find out some clerk had never ordered what he wanted in the 1st place.
Manager of the store offered him the Trooper 22 for $139.95 to get my Dad out of the shop.Big Grin

I sold several Colt New Frontiers for $50.00 each.

Ahh, that Colt 1911 is not correct. The trigger is the 1911A1 type.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Sorry, I didn't realize it was the replica. They made mention of it last night on Shooting Gallery.

Ed, you may be in luck. I have been thinking real hard about selling one of my 88's. I've got a pre-64 model I had redone in 6.5x284. Has a Douglas airgaged supreme barrel, work was done by Jim McCollough of Selma, Al.

Pretty nice rifle, I don't have the time I would like to reload like I used to, and experimenting is now out of the question. I don't think my Son is going to have much interest in reloading as well. If he can't buy it off the shelf, I don't think he'll want it.

Edited to ad: the original 308 barrel will come with it also.
