ok guys I’m new here and I’m in a quandary about a couple new scopes I need. My main criteria is low light performance deer hunting. Like in the last fading moments of legal shooting light I want to be able to make clean accurate shots. I have great scopes i.e. zeiss conquest V4 3-12/56 and meopta meostar 3-12/56 both with illum reticle and they are awesome. But, us optics nerds are always looking for more performance for like money, not interested in $2k optics at the moment i’m Looking at the Leica visus 3-12/50 with 4a illum ret IF it will significantly improve my low light hunting performance. I know it’s a tall order but I just bought (2) new tikkas and need to scope em for next season. I chose meopta and zeiss for their great warranty and pretty darn good scopes also and that’s the one thing that has me from pulling the trigger on a couple close out Leica visus is the 10 yr warranty and not having one to look at and check for eye relief and such I guess. Like I said I have no issues with my zeiss and meopta scopes I’m just looking to try something different IF better low light performance. What say y’all to my quandary please??
Thanks,
Big Ed

😂😂😂, I absolutely can’t say it’s better but I love my ERi 2.5 -10 X 42 4A which is the predecessor to the Visus and I’m an early and late hunter.

Hi Big Ed,

Ilya won't make a comment like superb if he has not looked through one. He is very serious about Optics it is his profession after all, it's also his passion.
I and most all of us here trust his assessment on any number of optics related questions or issues. Now having said that, it is, as all things are, a matter of personal preference as to what is comfortable. I hope this helps with your decision.

LOL, I'm SURE it did.... Say What

But I do agree.  Everybody's got different eyes and brain processing...
Ilya can definitely be trusted to tell you straight about optics!  Billy's description of him is spot On!

He can only help you make a short list, the3 rest will be up to you and your eyes and perception.

Good luck!

They have different cosmetics, but aside from that, same scope.
