We will have both 0 and 20.  No ETA yet, I've learned my lesson naming dates.

The M700 rail and rings sounds like an excellent match up. I anxiously await their arrival.

I am waiting for an update as well, I was told three weeks ago that it should be in 30 days and if it comes in before my Vortex does I will buy this one instead of the Burris.

These look great I like the fact that they have the rail cap option. They do look a lot like the Burris rings etc. They sure have plenty of contact surface area between the ring and scope for a good hold. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the field.

Well I just couldn't wait any longer for new mounts and rings so I went with burris XT bases and signiture zee rings....I guess when SWFA gets around to getting these in I'll just have to buy another model 70 to throw these mounts on Thunbs Up......not wanting to waste decent mounts and all.   Keep up the good work, I'm sure these new mounts will be solid and affordable when they come out.

You can always trade in the mount and rings on the new SS mounts when they release

Chris, is it just me or does that mount look damn near to exact specs of the Burris PEPR? Just wondering if you guys have any sort of partnership or deal with them because that looks almost identical.

Do you think it's a coincidence that ours is named SSALT and theirs is named PEPR?  Wink

Our latest version (Gen. II) has a wider gap between the rings to accomodate scopes with a large saddle (USO, Falcon, Shepperd, ect.).  It also cantilevers further out for proper eye relief on longer scopes.  Like the Gen. I mount it is 30mm with 1" spacers so one mount does it all.  The SSALT does not come with two picatinny rail tops like the Burris does as we don't see how you could use two and many people have no use for them at all.  Instead we offer them seperately.  We have one with a picatinny rail on top and one with a picatinny rail on the side.  Even with the spacers and added length the SSALT is lighter than the PEPR too.

Thanks Chris. As always very thorough. I liked the play on salt and pepper as well, very nice. Big Grin

Any chance we could see SWFA get one with QD levers down the road?

Us too!  We tried but Mark LaRue went crazy on us.  We called a few years back to get signed up and he accused us of trying to get his price list so we could give it to A.R.M.S. or something.  He hung up and wouldn't take our call.  We tried to speak with him at S.H.O.T. and he introduces himself like this, "I am THE Mark LaRue, what can I do for you?"  When he found out we were SWFA he went weird on us again and said, "I've got people dying over there right now that need my products, I don't have time for dealers".  Then he walked away.  We were thinking, why are you at S.H.O.T.????  He makes great products and I know we could sell a ton of them but he just isn't interested for some reason.

Chris, he seriously said that? LMAO! If he did indeed talk to me that way, i'd take my business someplace else, i don't care how great their rep is. I've seen them get pretty darn defensive on AR15.com in the past, but have had great experiences ordering from them in the past. Strikes me as odd he'd act like that. Maybe he doesn't like having the competition?
