Does this really have the CDS elevation adjustment?

Pics say otherwise, but description here and in the swfa listing say it is CDS.

Replying to my own message...

The item description on swfa no longer claims CDS elevation adjustment. Too bad. That would have been a very nice touch.

Does that mean that they'll be shipping soon, or are you just teasing?

I called Leupold nearly a month ago about getting one with a CDS dial for elevation.

They wouldn't even discuss taking an order, saying they have no idea when they'll be shipping any.

Gentlemen

Anyone interested in purchasing one of these scopes can contact Leupold directly and order it from the custom shop.  It is a few dollars cheaper at SWFA but while it is on backorder Leupold custom shop might be the best place to go.

In the previos posts there was concern about the CDS turrets... I ordered one of these scopes from the custom shop and had it retrofitted with the correct turret system to accept the CDS turrets for $60.00 per turret (windage and elevation) for a total of $120.00 extra.  You can always send the scope back to the custom shop at a later date if you cant afford the retrofitting at the time of purchase.

Each turret I ordered (I ordered two: one for a Buffalo Bore 350 gr and Remington Express 300 gr) cost an additional $29.00.  Worth it in my opinion.

I mounted it on a Marlin 1895 Guide (.45-70) and will repost once I zero it.  Max Point Blank for the Remington 300 gr is 258 yards so I will zero it at 100 and post the results.

Leupold Custom can be contacted directly at 1-800-LEUPOLD, ext 493 and ask for Jeremy.  He will take care of you.

"Scout" scope in name only.. I agree the eye relief doesn't sound like its enough to clear a bolt action.

Great lever action scope tho.

Shouldn't be long at all.

These are 100% made through Leupold's Custom Shop and in most cases take about 12 weeks for fulfillment, I want to say last we checked, they were on the tail end of being completed.

Got one of these on my .44mag lever action take down! LOve it!

(Though as my first scout scope, took a while getting used to my eye being so far back!)

Scrummy
