Bud I think I'm having the same issues as you, but not being real compooter smart I'm not sure. All I know is that I may get only one notification for several post on one thread. It does keep me from getting a huge number of e-mails.

Afternoon all!

Finally had to start a fire in the wood stove.

Yeah, got up this A.M. and it was 66 in the house (we haven't had the heat on either), the wife said start a fire. I said "can't, no wood". "Oh" she said. Later I cut up some wood that had been to long to fit in the stove, and started a fire. If the sun will come out, I won't need the fire.

Is it more economical for yall to burn the wood or use gas?

Other than the cost of time and gas for the saw and splitter, wood is free. We heat with a geothermal radiant floor system, so that cost electricity.
Sunny days heat the house for the most part, but it's been cloudy, cold, and rainy (for a change) for the past couple of days.

I screwed up and didn't get my wood in early enough, so most of what I have is a little green. I'm going have to get to some trees that have been down a couple of years to have good wood this year. Their just going to be a PITA to get to.

I keep a few cords of wood cut for my fire pit outside to roast oysters and such on during the fall and winter.  got to many downed trees on the property in places to run out of good burning wood for that

The wood I burned last year was still green. I had trouble starting it, keeping it going, and creasote build-up. Seasoned wood is so much better.

Probably wouldn't hurt to have a new stove too. The one I have now is old technology.
