Thats the interactive part....  Both turn ON and Off pressures went up equally with adjusting only the larger nut/spring.

Lynn, I'd sneak up on that adjustment... its sounds a little excessive but the factory rep is saying the same thin I am....   Take the blue pill!  Bandito

No Mark,  You should try to keep about a 20 PSI swing between Turn on and Off pressures or you'll over work the pump a bit and run up your electric.

Be hesitant about adjusting your system for over 60PSI!!!  First it runs up your electric cause the pump has to work HARD to give you an extra 10-20PSI.  Remember it's pumping up hill from deep in the ground usually and the pump has to fight gravity and building back pressure.  Also above 55 psi you really start increasing the risk of leaks in your plumbing....

Presonally I like a 'stiff shower' (hi pressure) but there is a price...Bucky

My builder installed a 20-40PSI switch on mine which I re-adjusted to 32-55 almost immediately.

Periodically check your well pressures too!  I have fine clay sediment in my water that collects inside the feed tube to the pressure switch and gage.  Every 5-7 years I have to pull the gauge and switch and clean the tubes or it will effect my pressures.

Bud, Mark, are ya'll talking about water pumps, orrr.................Big Grin

I gave the short screw 3 full turns, turned the pump on, and let the pressure fall until the pump kicked on. It ran until it hit 50lbs, and shut offThunbs Up

I still need to change the venturi tube in the ejector of the pump. That will be a job, but at least I won't have to mess with the power.
