Checked out the ventrac site. They look cool, but they're too small for what I need. I need a log skider with a big winch and 200 to 300' cable.

Nope Skip had a Corvette then. Never had long hair either. No beard until about 70 or 71. Became permanent about 1975.

My neighbor in high school had a black '63 convertable. He would come by pick me up and we'd criuse all day long listening to The Beach Boys on the 8 track.

Good times....

The 1963 was the year that really made me notice and love the Corvette. Next was the 1969 to 72, after that the Corvette was boring until 1984.

Yeah, that was a beauty.

He didn't have the original motor in it and the split window was the one to have in '63, but it had a Muncie?? 4-speed and a 350 with a midrise manifold and a Holly carb. He was afraid to "stomp it" and never let me behind the wheel. Probably good thing on both deals.

A Co-worker of mine at Safeway Stores back in 88 had the split window version in Candy Apple Red Imron.
He fully restored it and it was his baby.  He had a alarm that texted him and it also had a proximity detector that would trigger if anybody got within 5 feet.  It used a bullhorn speaker to warn anybody away.  We drove him nuts tripping the alarm the first three months after he had it painted...  Bucky

About 18 months later he totaled it coming home New Year Eve....  Don't know how he didn't get a DUI!
I'm guessing the cop felt sorry for him as he was balling over his loss....
