Don't go there!!!! Wink  We have 3 on-site Patent Attorneys  at this facility alone.
SBD has quite a revenue stream from patent infringement suits.... It's in the millions annually.

Then there are the lawsuits from people claiming injury at our fault by design....

Lastly we have a few engineer/lawyer types that try Chicago politics....  Sawstop is one of them.
Sawstop is a safety system developed for tablesaws.  It senses when the blade touches meat (the operator) then jams an alum block into the blade to stop it before injury can occur.

The system has bugs and is totally cost inhibitive so the inventor (also a lawyer) took the devious path of trying to get the Fed government to make the safety system mandatory for all tablesaws.  The whole industry has been fighting the jackwad for years....

gas piston.....

I'm seeing a new  next gen wankle currently being developed as well as the double opposed piston 2 strokes.  Neat ideas....

Didn't think so. Kind of a shame.
Wonder if the remaining team will have knowledge base or resources that you have?

Was always intrigued by the Wankle engine. As I remember, it produced a lot of horse power for it's size, but consumed a lot of gas too.

Wankle engine was the chosen engine for the Skycar… they never could get it to deliver the required power with consistent performance.  Seems to be pretty good for cars, but needs work for a Skycar.
Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

Top of the mornin to ya comradesCoffee

Where's Scrumbag and peddler?

Mazda's used a wankle in one of their early production cars, but it used more gas than most other cars it's size, and they dropped the wankle. Mercedez made a sports car (don't know if it was a production or concept) that used a 3 or 4 rotor wankle one year.

22* calm winds, clear skies, and going to the mid 40s.
