Agreed.  I am sure you have seen the hunters too that have sighted in only on a rest or bench and never shot a target standing or knelling and when they go out in the field they can't figure out why they miss all the time.

Wonder what the "experts" have to say about a choice of a defense weapon?  Makes sense to me to have something short and compact.

I have both and have both in house. Just saying if I did know something was going down the pistol would my first choice for the reasons I stated. I usually leave my SIG P250 .40 in the glove box of my truck. I had someone try to steal my truck before. Walked away from 4 or 5 guys with nothing but a broken nose. Thank god for that one cause he was watching over me but I never leave home without anymore since turning 21. I was about 19 when that incident happened.

We had a guy years ago back home that three guys approched in he parking lot to rob. He threw them the keys and said have at it you can have it.  When they jumped in the truck he emptied a clip into the rear glass and killed two and paralized one for life. He was found to have defended himself in self defense because when the passenger jumped in his truck he dropped a gun out of his pants and it fell the the floor board.  he claimed he thought they were going to roll down the window and shoot him............(how can you see a gun in the floor board from the rear of a truck?)

That was my theory too 'short/compact' which is why I sent my ex-wife to investigate sounds at night in our house.

Well I will find out what raises are tomorrow.  Boss's boss took the lab techs to lunch today.  Had a nice lunch at an old fashioned higher end Chinese Restraurant in downtown Towson.  Always nice to have a long lunch thats paid for and no possibility of being yelled at for being gone so long!

Just hope that wasn't the raise! Bucky

A zoooo.......  But I think things are going to start turning around, the leverage that Corporate America has had is coming to an end.  I'm plum wore out.  Crazy stuff these days.

I've got to say, I'm sure glad Buds surviving.  Its a comfort to know that evertime I touch my tool (dewalt) that Bud has had his hand on it!

He was my daughter's dog. I inherited him last winter.  He was only gone 24hrs.  He really can't get into any trouble around here although I'm going to keep him close to home until the fawns are grown some. My wife wanted to get him fixed so he doesn't knock up any gyps around(again).  He did get the closest neighbors gyp. When Rick came to the house to tell me I thought he was gonna ask for child support(10 pups) but just wanted to let me know he got $50 a pup for 'em.
