yeah.  I thought I had pretty much set my mind to getting the 50 beuwolf next and now the grendel has sparked my interest.  I just don't know if the 50 would be way overkill for deer around here.  It would be awesome to have but expensive to shoot and limited mag capacity as well.  If i give it a few more years I'm thinking AA will have gotten off its highhorse and let more manufactures have the ammo making abliity and all.  The Grendel holds more rounds and could be used for near about anything minus the large game animals(bear, moose, elk...etc).  Deer, hogs, yotes, p-dogs, foxes would all be fine to take with the grendel.  It would be cheaper to shoot and built right you could have an AR capable of hitting some long distances with fairly consistant accuracy i think.  where as the 50 pretty much would be limited to 300yds or less.

I'm surpised to see the Grendel to have that much velocity then I saw it was with 123gr Match kings.  Was thinking of much heavier round 168+.

Have a good weekend GHorse Poop Say I bought some powder for my 6.8 last night, just two cans to try out....Im looking forward to loading up some 110gr accubonds for it....I sure like it with the 1x4x24 Accupoint. I have never gotten that excited about a scope before, damn its nice. In fact MAYBE the next one will be the same in a 5x20x50 with a 284 under itYippee or 280, maybe 7mm mag but they kick to much for me........My plate might come looseShocked                    Bucky

Glad you like the accupoint man.  Maybe you should look at the 3x9's as well if you end up not getting use to the 3x9 SS.  you may have found your niche scoop.

Hows Butch doing?

Yeah, I want to learn how to use the SS, but it sure does not come natural to me. I will play with it some more and either keep it or not.....I like the heavy dutyness of it.. Is that a word, now it is..
Yeah these Accupoints are cool, I like the 2.5x10x56 but man is it a Honker, Honk! Honk! Oh maybe you do not have Canadin Geese there?Bucky
I thought it might be cool to have the the 1x4 set up on the 6.8 and then if I wanted to shoot a long ways then I could already have the 5x20 set up and dialed in to like 300 yards .. But the 6.8 in reality is probably only a 300 yard gun anyway.....So forget that idea, its not made for that big of a scope anyways...

Butch is taking a lil nap, he's resting up so he can kick our ass's tonight just like he does every night....Big Grin  Im completely serious, Butch, she calls him Boo. They fight every night and Butch wins. They are just playing, well Butch is playing and he plays rough.. He is a very very tough lil 60 lb. dog....He's feisty and has a great spirit about him. He's incredibly funny and he stalks us through out the house and you never know where he may pop up....Its hilarous to watch and be a part of... He is the hapiest dog Ive ever seen and spoiled rotten and Im glad to be able to spoil him.. People say bad things about Pit Bulls, I;ll tell ya what, they are the best all around family dogs in the world...They are super affectionate and loyal, its all how ya treat them and Butch is treated very well... We do argue over whos the Boss though, he s very stubborn, and thats just the way Pits and Amstaffs are.. I would leave Butch with my Grandson any and all day. He would protect him, might play too rough but he would protect that baby with his life because he's little, no doubt...
