When we got to the range, we found out that they let 3 girls rent lanes that were supposed to be ours.  We had to stand around for 20 minutes with nothing to do but waiting for the lanes!

We blew about $500 in ammo and gun rentals.  Rented two 45ACps a S&W M&P and A Springfield XD.  The XD was grouping well for me and felt good in the hand!

I think I would have offered my srevices as a proffessional firearms instructor, and helped them with their grip. Their stance is already perfect.

The XD has made the list for sure but there are still several to try!  Unfortunately Craig had a Colt GOld Cup with Pacmyar grips there I didn't see or get a chance to shoot!
I just found out a co-worker has matching 9mm and 45 PARAs and he says he'll let me try out the 45.

That is an option too.  Last night was the 1st time I have gone to an indoor range.  I now know how to control the costs!  Buy one bag of ammo from them to get the reduced range and rental rates then bring in more ammo of your own.

Oh BTW, I allowed S, B&D to buy me an Uplula  Universal clip loader.  It loaded everything bigger than 22LR we had there.  Single and double stack clips!  It worked nicely and saved my thumbs from much abuse since Craig and I did most of the loading.

It was the least SB&D could do since I provided 3 of my guns for them to fire! Wink

Hey Bud,
I could always mail ya one of mine to try. I have 4 pistols, a old German made 380 thats a little bit of a collecters item I gues, 22 S&W Wheel Gun and 2 Kimber 45acps... The largest Kimber is the one you want to try I think.. Ive never had a problem with the Kimbers, Im not sure why people say they fail???  Kind of odd to me ,it almost seems that some bad rumor starts and it just spreads like crazy....Anyway The longer barreled (5") is the best shooter for me. Longer barrels are just more accurate for my son also......Should ask Lynn if thats always the case?

Not sure.  I figure when I go I will take a bunch for him to shoot being hes starting to share that he's gonna look for a pistol.  I tell you I love shooting my Sig and Kimber and all but If i had to pick a gun that I as gonna shoot all day and just have at it with, my Beretta 92 or 96 would be first choice.  They just are so easy to shoot and fun.  Fit my hand good and accuracy is great.

Many years ago I traded a 32 Beretta for a 22 pistol. It was my Dads, cost like 35.00 new back when he bought it......After I sobered up, I realized what I had done and tried to get it back from the gun shop. I guess I did not offer the new owner enough money, he was a collector... That was probably one of the bigger mistakes of my life... And NO I don't want to hear it... I feel stupid enough as it is..
