ok, so I’m newish to long range shooting.
I’ve got a SWFA SS HD 10X. I’m having a hard time getting my parallax rock solid. I can get it close, but I always seem to have some amount of crosshair “float”/movement. When looking at a 500yd target I probably get about 3” worth of reticle movement. I just can’t quite get that to 0. I’ve asked for advice from other more expiernced shooters at the range and all have said that my parallax is way off when they look through my scope. I have them adjust to what they thing is right and I look through.....every time, their setting is wildly different than mine precious “close” setting. More so, when I look though what they say is right, I end up worth 12” or more of reticle movement. So my first question (likely of many more to come)....does parallax setting change than much between users? FWIW, I have very good vision. I have had laser surgery and usually can measure 20/15.

If your parallax setting is doing something wonky, most of the time it is an indication that you did not set your eyepiece up correctly. Eyepiece setting is different for different users and if other people are looking at the parallax setting on your scope, they need to first adjust the eyepiece to your eyes.
I did a couple of videos on eyepiece setup a few weeks ago. There, I was talking mostly about FFP scopes, but it is generally relevant for other designs. ILya
