Found these two bulls roaming around in the Tehachapi mountains on Sunday. I had no idea yall had elk around here!
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

We have Tule and Roosevelt Elk too. The populations are small and tags hard to get.

They're found in northwestern Cali along the Redwood Highway, Humbolt Co, etc. There used to be a population of 'em on Santa Rosa Island in SoCal but politics and liberals ended that a few years ago.

Tule Elk are found along the coastline and around central California

Rocky Mountain elk are in northeastern Cali too.
