Still we are not breaking many of the records from 1911,1932-1936. If it were gradually getting so much hotter these records should have been shattered long ago. 
Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow
Now the rules have changed again.

I was reminded yesterday that the 1937 flood followed the 1936 heatwave.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Its been around 115 out here in southern Nevada. Its going to thunderstorm this weekend; the weather report says itll get down to around 103 maybe 100.

Its dry heat at least, it is almost never humid here so it makes the heat not so bad. Strangely though, I did catch fire this morning when I walked outside...

[/QUOTE]Yes, it basically is true. There hasn't been a statistically significant trend during that time... if anything, there is a slight downward trend. The temps we are experiencing are neither unprecedented or infrequent.

I can provide links to back up anything I say about the climate.
