Has anyone actually compared these "TOP" scopes, objectively, of course. And what was your findings? Too close to call, all outstanding scopes, one a little better than the rest, speak, please. IB

Well, IMO, there reaches a point of "diminished returns" in the optics world, and most other things too.

Most of us here need a good, reliable, repeatable scope for hunting or pleasure shooting.

I either own or have owned some big name scope brands. Schmidt and Bender, US Optics, Zeiss, etc.

For 99% of all my optical needs, the Zeiss Conquest fits the bill nicely. Is the glass as good as a USO or S&B? No. But it doesn't need to be. My life's or my teams life is not on the line. Now if I'm on a SWAT team, a DM, or on a CAT, my gear and optics takes on a whole different deal. Now optical quality, W/E adjustments, ruggedness are paramount. Peoples lives and maybe my own are on the line.

The Conquest is not the perfect scope. I hate the plastic turret covers for instance.

But it's "adequate" for most all my and most guys shooting needs.

That's my .02
